COURSE INFORMATION

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: the have been some slight changes to the Marathon and Half Marathon coures.  We have posted the maps used to recertify the courses through USATF and will add more detailed versions as soon as our designer has updated them with exact aid station, porta potty and relay exchange locations.  The Half-Marathon course will see only a slight change over the final two miles, while the Marathon route will no longer utilize the out and back on Biosphere Road.  Instead, there will be an out and back section earlier in the race in the Town of Oracle.  The elevation loss for each race will remain almost exactly the same.

MARATHON
The Holualoa Tucson Marathon point-to-point course starts in the historic town of Oracle north of Tucson and runs on a paved scenic route follows SH#77 along the majestic Santa Catalina Mountain range, dropping through the town of Catalina and finishing at the Coronado Middle School on E. Wilds Road, just north of Oro Valley. The race course closes at 1:30 p.m. so if you plan to walk, please understand you must be off the course by that time or be picked up by a "help" wagon.
