Shuttle bus departs 5:00am to 5:30am (we recommend being on one of the first buses to guarantee getting to the start line on time).

Option B (For those staying at Host Hotel under race booking code) | El Conquistador Tucson - 10000 North Oracle Road, Tucson, AZ 85704 | Shuttle bus departs at 5:00am (You must be on the first bus out at 5am)

Course Brief:
The 50 Kilometer course, which is primarily downhill from Oracle to Catalina, does have sections of rolling hills (from miles 2-4, 11-15 and 28-29) so please be prepared!  

Cutoff Time:
8 Hours | The 50 kilometer course officially closes by 2:30pm. Cut off times will be enforced along the course.

Certified Course:
The course will not be USATF certified for 2023.

Aid Stations

Aid Stations, with water and Gatorade will be placed at the following locations along the course: Start, 4.0mi, 5.5mi, 7.7mi, 9mi, 11.9mi, 13.2mi, 14.5mi, 16.5mi, 17.8mi, 19.9mi, 21.6mi, 23.8mi, 24.8mi, 25.9mi, 26.8mi, 27.8mi, 28.9mi, 30 mi, Finish Line. Gatorade’s Endurance Formula  is the official on-course sports drink of the Tucson Marathon, Half Marathon, 50K and Marathon Relay.

RACE DAY TRACKING

Looking to track a runner on race day? Click here for Athlete Updates, which is provided by Chronotrack. Spectators will also be able to download the Athlinks app and then, by viewing a participants "results", will have the option to see which  splits a runner is between on the course map.

Important Notes

For the safety of all involved, parking and drop offs are not allowed at the starting line. All competitors must stay inside the safety cones at all times. Anyone who runs outside of the cones will be disqualified. Baby Joggers/Strollers are NOT allowed on the course at any time.  No exceptions will be made.

AWards

All finishers will receive a commemorative medal after crossing the finish line. Overall top male and female winners for the 50 Kilometer race will be based on the official race chip time. Awards will be given to the top overall male and female winners in the 50 Kilometer race, based on chip time.  

Age group awards are provided to the top male and female runners in the 50 Kilometer in the following age brackets: Open 39 & under, Masters 40-49, Grand Masters 50-59, and Ultra Grand Masters 60+. Awards need to be picked up on-site (50 Kilometer after 11am). Be sure to check the Results Kiosk before leaving the finish line area.

RULES: The top three overall race winners will receive a podium award as well as their age group award.
