Course Brief:
The Marathon course, which is primarily downhill from Oracle to Catalina, does have sections of rolling hills (from miles 2-4, 10-12 and 24-25) so please be prepared!
Cutoff Time:
7.5 Hours | The marathon course officially closes by 2:30pm. Cut off times will be enforced along the course.
Certified Course:
The course is USATF Certified (#AZ16022JOE) & is a Boston Marathon Qualifier.
Registration is open and available online through RaceRoster until December 7 at 11:59pm. Pricing does not include applicable taxes & credit card processing fees.
REGISTER NOWAid Stations, with water and Gatorade will be placed at the following locations along the course: Start, 2.4mi, 3.9mi, 5.8mi, 7.4mi, 10.3 mi, 11.6mi, 12.9mi, 15.0mi, 16.7mi, 18.9mi, 19.9 mi, 21.0mi, 21.9mi, 22.9mi, 24.0mi, 25.1mi, Finish Line. Gatorade’s Endurance Formula is the official on-course sports drink of the Tucson Marathon, Half Marathon, 50K and Marathon Relay.

Looking to track a runner on race day? Stay tuned for a link to register for this service, which is provided by Chronotrack. Spectators will also be able to download the Athlinks app and then, by viewing a participants "results", will have the option to see which splits a runner is between on the course map.
For the safety of all involved, parking and drop offs are not allowed at the starting line. All competitors must stay inside the safety cones at all times. Anyone who runs outside of the cones will be disqualified. Baby Joggers/Strollers are NOT allowed on the course at any time. No exceptions will be made.
All finishers will receive a commemorative medal after crossing the finish line. Overall top male and female winners for the Full Marathon race will be based on the official race chip time. Awards will be given to the top overall male and female masters winners in the Full Marathon race, based on chip time. Masters winners are not eligible for age group awards.
Age group awards are provided to the top three male and female runners in the Full Marathon in the following age brackets: Under 19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80+Awards need to be picked up on-site (Full Marathon after 11am). Be sure to check the Results Kiosk before leaving the finish line area.
RULES: The top three overall race winners, and masters winners, will receive their overall place award and forfeit any age-group award. Top three overall winners are not eligible for masters awards; the masters awards will go to the next eligible finisher.
